The Best Way To Lose Weight.

What is the best way to lose weight? That question is asked all time by people who really want to ask some different questions. The real questions that they want to ask are these: What is the easiest way I can lose weight by doing nothing and not changing anything? Can’t I just take some magic pill or some magic food (think acai berry) and melt the fat right off? I mean scientists are pretty smart so they have to have invented something by now, right?

[If a scale company started making a scale like this they probably would go out of business pretty fast! Sometimes the truth hurts!]

Of course the reality is that you do have to do something and you do have to change things to lose weight. There really isn’t any magic pill or magic food that will make you lose weight over the long run. It might work temporarily but it’s very unlikely that you’ll keep the weight off for any appreciable length of time. And scientists are smart but that doesn’t mean that they have all the answers. So what should you do if you really want to lose weight safely and effectively? The answer shouldn’t surprise you.

The 7 Best Exercises For Surviving The Zombie Apocalypse

Come on, you know that you have thought about it: are you in good enough shape to survive the zombie apocalypse? It’s you against 100 zombies intent on feasting on your tasty, tasty brain. Could you make it? Could you out run them? Could you get away from them? You can make it if you know the 7 best exercises for surviving the zombie apocalypse. Here is my list of exercises you better get good at if you want to survive.

[Nothing will make you run faster than being chased by a couple of brain hungry zombies. And when that time comes you better be in good enough shape to get away! Start training today.]

#1. The 400 Meter Sprint The need for speed is critical for escaping zombies. Ideally you should be able to sprint all out for 400 meters in less than 90 seconds, even better is 60 seconds. That should get you far enough away to hide, get to your safe spot or grab a weapon. Work on sprints at least once a week. Try and run four to six 400 meter sprints per session and keep the time of all the runs no more than 10 seconds apart. This should increase your cardio in no time.

The 100 Burpee Challenge (Part 4 of 4)

So that is it. I finished the 100 burpee challenge and let me tell ya, the end sucked. In the last 10 days I did 955 burpees. I missed day 96 so on day 97 I did 184! In all I did 5050 burpees over the course of 100 days. It was tough but I am glad that I did it and pushed myself to complete it. I learned a few lessons too. Let me give you some tips to use if you decide to take on this challenge.

100 burpee challenge[In my mind this is what I look like when I am working out. Gotta have a goal people!]

Tip #1. Don’t wait until the end of the day to do all your burpees. In the first 30 days or so it’s okay to do but after that it’s tough. There is nothing fun about doing 50 burpees at 10:30 at night because you put it off all day. Get in the habit of doing them early in the day and getting them out of the way.

Body Weight Training Vs Weight Training

If you want to gain strength, build muscle mass and be functionally fit you may think that you have to choose between body weight training vs weight training. There are definitely both positive and negative aspects to both methodologies but I don’t think that it is an either/or thing. Depending on what you want to get out of your training, one or the other may be the best way to go. More than likely the best option is a combination of the two.

Body Weight Training Vs Weight Training[Don't feel "boxed in" on having to choose between body weight training or weight training. Here's an example of a very nice, balanced look. He probably used both to develop his body and so should you.]

The 100 Burpee Challenge (part 3 of 4)

I never thought that 100 days would go by so slow during this 100 Burpee Challenge! It’s day 75 and while I’m three quarters of the way done, I am getting burned out on the Burpees (mainly because they are a hell of an exercise!). Counting today, I have done 2887 Burpees in the last 75 days. That means in the last 25 days I have to complete 2163 Burpees. Oh what fun that will be.

The main reason that it is getting harder is that my elbows are killing me. I think that they both hurt so much from dropping down into the push-up position everyday. Since I am doing this 100 days in a row, there is no chance to rest and let them recover/heal up. So I guess that I am just going to suck it up for another 3 1/2 weeks until I am done.
